Children's Toy Shops
Whether you are buying a present for a child back home or want to take some younger visitors to some rather nice shops. This is one of the best shops, and they are very happy to order things for you, too. They sell everything from fluffy pom-pom pens, to tiny wooden cash registers and carved Noah's arks. They have the sturdy Brio train sets and some very appealing carved wooden farm animals.
Beestenwinkel (Beasties Shop)
This would be the first stop for cuddly creatures, if children have some pocket money to spend on tiny plastic insects or gruesome stickers. For larger budgets, they have delightful raincoats and wellington boots with ladybirds or frog designs on.
Goochem Houten Speelgoed (Goochem Wooden Toys)
A few minutes walk away from the museums and you find yourself in this very friendly children's toyshop. As their name suggests, nearly everything is made of wood and they can order any item you might want from their extensive catalogue. This is one of the best children''s toyshops in the city. Credit cards accepted.
