Transportation

By air

Esenboga, the airport of Ankara, is situated half hour distance of the city center. From the airport to railway station or bus station there are regularly bus transfers of Havas. THY, Turkish Airlines, flights from Ankara to different cities in Turkey.

By bus

Ankara is on the crossroad of the highways in Anatolia. From the well-organized Otogar, there are busses to everywhere in Turkey. Otogar, is situated about 5km to the South West of the city center; can be reached by tram from the city center.

By train

There are regular train services from Ankara to Istanbul, Izmir and to the eastern part of Turkey. The trains are quite slow and a journey to Istanbul can take more then 10 hours. For those with patient it can offer an interesting view of Anatolia.
