The nightlife of Athens retains the bustling and entertaining atmosphere that the city has during the day. The most popular nightlife districts for bars and clubs are Psiri, Plaka, Thission and Kolonaki, and there are remarkable amounts of attractions crammed into small areas of the city. There are always a wide variety of music venues presenting evening and late-night concerts, but the musical nightlife of the city really explodes in the summer months. On almost every street there are either indoor or outdoor concerts, including all styles from rock to classical. Good music can be heard year round in the many clubs and concert halls of Athens, however, and in particular there are many good well-known jazz and blues clubs. The club scene is varied, with everything from sedate and leisurely places to get together, to lively discos and raging techno clubs. Several of these clubs are outdoor. The music featured in clubs ranges from traditional Greek folk music to rap and hip hop.
