Folie
Known as one of the most fun clubs in Athens, Folie is popular with just about all ages. Dancing is the big draw here, and the music features reggae, Latin, funk and hip-hop, and Sunday is 60s night. On the weekends there is often live music provided by a Brazilian band. Folie is stylish but unpretentious, and you can come here in casual clothes and not stand out. Most people arrive between 10 pm and midnight, and the club stays open very late.

Palenque
A highly recommended club, Palenque features live Latin bands most days of the week. Every Sunday there is a tango night, with the music provided by famous Latin groups, and tango lessons are offered as well. Monday is Cuban Salsa night and Tuesday features live flamingo. The other nights are just basic Latin party evenings. The bands change frequently, but often the same bands will perform once a week on a particular day.

Cubanita Havana Club
This club is located in the popular nightlife area of Psiri, just around the corner from Iroon Square. The music is predominantly Latin, but with some other styles on certain nights as well. The atmosphere is very lively and gets quite wild late at night. There is dancing the whole night long, and you can order food at all hours as well as drinks.
Granazi
A gay man’s club, Granazi has a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere. The music includes techno, salsa, Latin and rock. There is usually dancing that gets started a bit later into the evening. There are all kinds of drinks available, and some nice cocktails are featured.
Horostasion
During the day, this club is a regular café with a relaxing atmosphere, and you can get some delicious sandwiches, coffee and desserts. At night (around 10 pm) it becomes one of the city’s hippest clubs. There are three floors, each featuring a different style of music, so there is usually something for everyone here. There is dancing in each room, and the music usually includes rock, hip-hop and alternative. People tend to dress up a bit here, or at least wear trendy clothes.
Wild Rose
This chic club is located in the Syntagma district, and features excellent drinks and dancing. Popular with locals and tourists alike, this club tends to draw the beautiful and sophisticated beau monde types. There is live music every Tuesday, and some other evenings are theme nights. Wednesday is 80’s night, Thursday is “Girl Power” evening, and offers special drink options for women.
