Rembetiki Istoria
This music club features authentic rembetika performances by local Athens groups. Rembetika is an urban Greek music begun by unconventional street musicians in the 19th century. The style is often compared to American blues, mostly because the subject matter of the songs usually bemoans the misfortunates of ordinary people. It is a classic Greek style that you are sure to enjoy, sung at this club by Pavlos Vasileiou and his band.
