With comfortable chairs and sofas, this café is a great place to have breakfast or just enjoy a cup of coffee and relax. From 1 pm Mediterranean dishes are served. This café used to be the nerve centre for the local’s campaign to save this historic street from the developers.

Café de l’Opera
This is defintely one of the best spots to enjoy a good cup of coffee and to watch the crowd passes by La Rambla. This is a very elegant place with an historic decore, a short list of tapas and a long list of beers.

The Bagel Shop
One of very few places to get a real bagel in Spain. This lovely little place is very popular with local expats and American tourists. You can find here a huge variety of bagels filled or topped with varied ingredients such as cream cheese, salmon, vegetables and cold cuts. They also serve soups, salads, cakes and apple pie. If you are into an American breakfast, don’t miss the Sunday brunch menu.

Bar Kasparo
This friendly bar – café is run by two Australian and has a large outdoor terrace under an arcade. The terrace is a great spot for sitting out on a sunny day while the kids are playing in the café’s playground.
The menu changes daily, but you can always found traditional Spanish tapas, very good coffee and a nice variety of beers.
