This nice and small place serves famous tapas since 1929 and it is definitely a landmark that keeps its own personality. The Xampanyet champagne that is served is renowned. It is located near the Picasso museum. Booking a table in advanced is not an option in this wonderful establishment.
El Vaso de Oro
This busy place is always packed with people. It is famous for its large selection of beers and many delicious tapas dishes such as blood sausages, cured meat, patatas bravas, duck liver, anchovies and meatballs with cuttlefish. There are no tables and chairs, so be prepare to stand.

Els Quatre Gats
This place is a legend in Barcelona and was established in 1897. It was the favourite place of Picasso and other artists who used to present their works on the walls. Els Quatre Gats (Four cats) serves traditional Catalan food and has an extensive wine and beer list.

Bar Celta
This bar is a Galician tapas bar that specializes in seafood tapas. The most famous tapas are potatoes and fried calamari known as patatas bravas and rabas. Don’t forget to try razor clams and the octopus.
Euskal Etxea
This place attracts all sorts of people, both locals and tourists. The restaurant offers a delicious cuisine with an excellent service. Make sure to try the tuna or crab pinchos.

This tapas bar serves Basque traditional tapas. The long bar is filled with all kinds of tapas serves on a thick slice of bread. It is best to arrive early if you like to enjoy a wide selection before they run out. A nice wine list is also available.
La Estrella de Plata
This stylish tapas bar is run by the Lopez Amat family. There is no fixed menu and the dishes change every day according to the chef’s creativity. They will normally offer a wide range of tapas along with fresh fish and few homemade specials accompanied by a choice of good Spanish wine.
