Maxim Gorki Theater
The building of this theatre is designed in the style of classicism and was built in the 19th century. Named after the Russian author Maxim Gorki it was founded in 1952. It plays a wide variety of different themes and it is a place of art as well as political discussions, sometimes with international guests. There are also a lot of debut performances and readings. Therefore this theatre is a meeting point of art, politic and science.

Deutsches Theater
The well known „Deutsches Theater“ was built in 1850 as „Städtisches Theater” for Friedrich Wilhelm. First the actors played simple things but over the years the themes and also the rooms for performances expanded and because a mixture of the simple ones, classics and naturalism of the stage. Today it is a classical theatre with titles such as „Faust“ combined with themes for younger people. The theatre offers workshops for beginners and a lot of specials like discussions in order to gain insights into the theatre-world.

Berliner Ensemble Theater at the Schiffbauerdamm
Bertold Brecht and his wife Helene Weigel found the “Berliner Ensemble” in 1949. At first the actors performed just plays from the founders. Later, after Brecht’s death in the 70ties the theatre got more open for other playwrights from Europe. Today the theatre offers, besides the normal classical program like readings, guest performances and concerts, a lot of nice specials like the family day where parents can deliver their children at the “Theaterspielplatz”.

Chamäleon Musik Theater Varieté

Deutsche Oper
The “Deutsche Oper” is Berlin’s biggest opera after WW II and has also a high quality in its arts and plays. Since its reopening in 1961 they presented an excellent ensemble with international and famous personalities like Verdi, Puccini, Wagner and Strauss. Furthermore, they have a French and Italian program. In addition to the traditional star soloists they are looking for new and young singers and directors. Therefore the plays are combining tradition and modern spirit.

The “Friedrichstadtpalast” is the most amazing revue theatre of Europe and also a very magnetize attraction of Berlin. The roots reach back about 100 years. The plays of different themes like ballet, eroticism, performances for children and a lot of guest performances let you experience of sensual orgy. Especially at Christmas there are lot of colorful and well designed performances which evoke Christmas feelings.
Since 2002 they also play the "Quatsch Comedy Club", a mixture of stand up comedy show and changing casts, at the basement of the Friedrichstadtpalast.

Tipi das Zelt (TIPI the marquee)
This theatre is located in the historical center of Berlin, close to the “Kanzleramt” (chancellery) and the “Brandenburger Tor”. It is a huge pavilion which presents national as well as international enjoyment and high quality entertainment. They show different kind of programs like cabaret, varieté, dance, acrobatic or musical –comedy. In addition to the excellent program the variety gastronomic area offers a huge range of exclusive wine and fresh seasonal products.

Theater des Westens
The facade of this amazing and traditional theatre which exists already over 100 years is an architectural unicum! It is a mixture of extraordinary elements from the eras of renaissance, empire and art nouveau. The interior is well designed and has a lot of the pomp from that time. There are also a lot of different saloons (for example the glass lounge) where people can have private parties or dinner.
During the years the theatre showed operettas as well as musicals. Today the most of the showing acts are musicals like “AIDA” and “Die 3 Musketiere” in a very special and pomp atmosphere.
