Traditional Markets
Every Tuesday there is a cloth market. Except textile of Turkish industry you will find also all kind of imitation products from around the world. On every Friday there is a market for fruit and vegetables. Traders and farmers from the villagers around Bodrum sell their products from their own lands and gardens. The rich vegetables and fruits of the area can be found at this market. Even walking through will impress the visitor for the freshness of the nature. There is also enough possibilities to get fresh fishes which are brought to the city by the local fisherman..
Further the narrow streets of Bodrum between the white walls is one of the pleasures to make daily trips. The most popular objects for the tourists are of course carpets, leather, copper and bronze wares, silver and gold, handicrafts and embroidery, and the famous Turkish meerschaum and onyx. In different style the shop owners try to bring their sells to the man. One big advice is: bargaining is a social part of buying!
