Atanas
This extremely affordable restaurant serves authentic Greek food and is always bustling. Specialties include moussaka, “Socrates balls” or fried mutton meatballs, and lamb. All dishes are served with a side of rice or savoury potatoes. The cuisine is earthy and simple, but very tasty. As is the tradition in Greece, when you walk into the restaurant you go right into the kitchen and tell the chef what you want to order. Most meals here are under € 10. No credit cards are accepted.

Ouzerie
A favourite with the local Greek population, Ouzerie has been a well-known restaurant in Brussels for some time now. Prices are low and the atmosphere is lively and relaxed. The place fills up most evenings, but they can almost always make room for one more. The food is traditional and well-prepared, and the side dishes are some of the tastiest they have to offer, with the aubergine dip and Greek salads being particularly popular. Unusually for a Greek restaurant, this one has a wide variety of good vegetarian options.
