Le Jardin de Paris
A charming restaurant with a walled garden, Le Jardin de Paris is both welcoming and chic. It is a popular restaurant for couples to have a romantic night out in, and there are also many French regulars. A jazz band often plays in the evenings. The food is simple and fresh and made from the best ingredients. Some specialties include salmon steak with salad, chicken breast with grilled vegetables, filet mignon, and ratatouille. Reservations are recommended. The average cost for a meal is around 3700 Fr, and Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

La Fontaine
A traditional French brasserie, this restaurant combines a relaxed atmopshere with sophisticated cuisine. There are specials that change daily, displayed on a blackboard as you walk in. The usual starters include excellent soups, salads, pâtés and fresh bread. Main dishes often feature steak and salmon cooked just right with lots of fresh vegetables. You can also stop in here for a coffee and croissant in the morning. Expect to pay around 3000 Fr for a full meal. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

Chez Daniel
This restaurant opened a few years ago and was an instant success. Run by chef Daniel Labrosse, it is now one of the top French restaurants in Budapest. The ingredients are all carefully selected from the best city markets, and the food is flavourful and expertly prepared. Many French families come here on a regular basis, and it is now a popular tourist stop as well. Specials include monkfish in saffron sauce, foie gras, lamb, and lobster with asparagus and Hollandaise sauce. The wines are excellent, but pricey. The average cost here is around 4000 Fr. Credit cards are accepted.

Lou Lou
A small and cozy restaurant, Lou Lou aims to be an authentic French bistro. It has an intimate atmosphere, with soft lighting, sloping yellow walls, and some interesting prints on the walls. One of the main specialties in the onion soup, generally considered to be the best in Budapest. Other excellent choices include Scandanavian salmon and tortellini, vegetables in garlic butter, tenderloin fricassee, and egg battered chicken Francese. The restaurant is usually crowded, so it is best to make a reservation. The average cost here is around 3000 Fr, not including wine.
