Bajor Sarok sorozo
This rather quirky restaurant offers traditional German food and beers, with most of the dishes including fried meat and potatoes. In addition to German beers, you will find some nice English ales. Many tourists end up eating here, as well as some Hungarians, but it is not the kind of place to attract regulars. Expect to pay around 1600 Fr here. Credit cards are accepted.

Located on a busy street in Pest, this restaurant is huge and rather resembles a German ski lodge. There is lots of chunky pine wood, wooden tables and chairs, and two levels of tables. For an interesting touch, a live goose is kept in a cage at the entrance and is the first thing you see when you walk in. The food includes traditional German dishes such as sausage with sauerkraut, Bavarian goose breast, and pork knuckle with cabbage. For a starter, the garlic soup with rye bread is highly recommended. Sometimes an accordian player or German polka band performs here in the evenings. The average cost here is around 3000 Fr. Credit cards are accepted.
