This shop is part of the Libri bookstore chain, and is located on one of the main shopping streets in the centre of Budapest. It includes a good selection of fiction, art, children’s books, poetry, and more. Most books on the downstairs level are in English, and there are also French and German sections. You will also find a nice array of guide books and maps, and a small CD section.

Bestsellers
A small bookshop with a well-chosen selection, Bestsellers specializes in British fiction, travel books, cookbooks, and more. This is probably the best bookshop in the city for English-speaking visitors, but is also more expensive than other shops. It is also possible to special order any book from the U.K. or U.S. through them.

CEU Bookshop
This is the bookshop of the Central European University, and carries a great selection of intellectual books in areas such as literature, history, political science, gender studies, languages and more. It is possible to special order books. Wednesdays are a good day to visit, as between 4.30 pm - 6.30 pm there is a 10% discount on all cash purchases.
