Cairo Sheraton Cinema
This cinema has two viewing rooms and is one of the best places to find good art films. Most of the movies are Egyptian releases, with a variety of American and European ones offered as well. Both of the theatres are on the small side, so it’s best to reserve your ticket in advance.

Heliopolis Public Library Movie Theatre
This is an elegant and modern cinema found in one of Cairo’s public libraries. It shows the most popular American and Egyptian movies, and sometimes some foreign and independent films. Regular performances are given on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and 9 pm, and a children’s movie is always shown at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Call the theatre to find out additional viewing times.

Metro
This movie theatre was built in the 1940’s and is one of the oldest in Cairo. It shows a wide range of films, mostly from America and Egypt. It’s known as a good cinema to take kids as it offers several children’s movies and has a weekly cartoon.

Geneina Mall Cinema
This cinema is very popular and is located in a mall, offering a diverting break from shopping. It is one of the most modern and high-tech movie theatres in Cairo and has six screens. Most of its movies are the big American releases, though some Egyptian and European movies are also shown regularly.
