This movie theatre has five screens and a pretty good variety of films, though still maintains a cozy and intimate atmosphere due to the relatively small viewing rooms. You will find the typical major international releases here, as well as several Danish films and occasionally some lesser known art films. The staff here is very friendly.
Grand Teatret
One of Copenhagen’s most well known cinemas, the Grand Teatret offers classic films and major releases in a modern and stylish environment. Many European and Danish films are shown here, as well as the latest American films. There are six screens, so usually plenty of variety. Check the theatre’s website for detailed information about showings.
Palads
The largest cinema in Copenhagen, this one has 17 different viewing rooms. With so much to choose from, there will always be something here for everyone. The movies shown range from the latest international releases to old classics and also some experiemental films. Many foreign films are dubbed into Danish, but sometimes they are shown with subtitles.
