An upscale club in Vesterbro that is used for a variety of purposes, Dansetten features an elegant ballroom and good food. Dancing occurs nightly, either to a DJ’s music or along with a live show. You can dine in style here, choosing from a menu of delicious light Danish dishes, or simply order drinks. Large private parties are held here occasionally. Check the Dansetten website for information about special events and opening times, and they are subject to change.

Mantra
Located next to Tivoli Gardens, this club is known to attract some of the city’s most exciting and energetic DJs. They generally put thought and effort into the programs they present, and Mantra has won a city award for its music. Mantra is usually full of people dancing, but there are also some quiter corners where you can sit and talk. The club is in a basement, and has appealing minimalist décor.

Subsonic
This recently-opened club features a lively dance floor and DJs who play a lot of pop and house music. It has a subterranean feel, decorated to look like a cave. The drinks are good and not too expensive, and there is a variety of beers on offer. Subsonic is mainly popular with a young crowd.

If you like clubs with live music, this is one of the best in Copenhagen. The styles of music performed include jazz, soul, rock, Latin and more. On nights when there is no live performance, DJs play music to dance to. Sofie Kaelderen has become known as a hip hang-out, and attracts quite and international crowd. Diskotek IN
An extremely popular club with the youth of Copenhagen, Diskotek IN stays open all night and serves free drinks on the weekends. There is a high cover, however, so to get your money’s worth you have to drink a considerable amount. But you can order free beer, wine and champagne all night. This is primarily a dance club, and the music features house, pop and techno. Entrance prices range from 30 - 150 kr depending on the night. Sometimes there is one entrance price for everyone, and sometimes boys have to pay more. On Thursday, when the cover is only 30 kr, all drinks are 10 kr each.

This downtown dance club is unique for its retro feel, with 70s décor and furniture, including lava lamps and photos of 70s rock stars. The music varies and includes rock, house, soul, techno and more. Fridays and Saturdays feature soul and funk music. This club is popular with students and a rather artsy crowd, and most people come here to chat rather than dance.
