Dragør Strandhotel
This attractive harbourside restaurant has a cheerful atmosphere and serves both Danish and American-style food. The Strandhotel was once an inn, established almost 700 years ago. During the 1500s, Danish royalty stayed here regularly, and 300 years later, Søren Kierkegaard lodged here often. Now only a restaurant, the Strandhotel is family-run and retains much of its old-world charm with its ancient wooden cupboards and old ceramics and china that decorate the place. The menu includes clichéd American food like “Mexi-burgers,” Caesar salads and French fries, but also offers such Danish dishes like frikkadeller with potato salad, cod with beets and boiled egg, and sole with rémoulade. Prices range from 90 - 200 kr. Credit cards are accepted.

Nørrebro Bryghus
A recently-opened microbrewery and restaurant, Nørrebro Bryghus has quickly become a hit. Its owner is Anders Kissemeyer, who used to be the head brewer of the Carlsberg Brewery. Now that he has struck out on his own, he has turned his brewery into a charming two-storey restaurant. The interior is spacious, with 160 seats, and there is also a nice courtyard/beer garden for the warmer monthes. The food is American style and features burgers, sandwiches and gourmet salads. For dinner, a four course menu is available. Prices generally range from 120- 300 kr. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
Chili
This American-themes restaurant is lively and informal, with a very friendly atmosphere. Burgers are the main specialty, and come in all shapes and sizes. There are a total of seventeen kinds of burgers, available in quarter and half-pound portions. Some of the more interesting varieties include Hawaii burgers with pineapple and curry, English burgers with bacon and fried eggs, and French burgers with mushrooms and cream sauce. There is also a Danish burger with fried onions and a Texas burger with spicy chilis. You can also order sandwiches and entrees such as grilled steak. Prices range from 42 - 165 kr for main courses, and are under 100 kr for lighter fare. Credit cards are not accepted.
