Era Ora
Established in 1983, this has been the finest Italian restaurant in Copenhagen for more than twenty years. It has a frequently changing menu and offers several multi-course meals. The most extensive menu features seventeen small courses! There is no à la carte menu. Specialties include seafood antipasti with octopus and homemade pasta, St. Peter fish in a fresh tomato sauce, and green apple sorbet. Many of the dishes do not use cream or butter. The wines here are phenomenal, and the climate-controlled wine cellar holds around 90,000 bottles, all from Italy. The décor is distinctive and elegant, with walls of dark burnt-umber and black or brown furniture with white accents. The tables are usually decorated with yellow and green roses. Prices are 200 kr and above. All major credit cards are accepted.

This modern and comfortable restaurant is located right in the city centre. The menu changes monthly and features both three and five course meals. Each month’s menu makes the most of the fresh produce and fish that is in season. The cuisine is Italian with some international influences. Some popular dishes include creamy curry soup, baked sea bream with almond pesto and rooster with quail eggs. There are a variety of fine wines on offer, and the waitstaff can recommend the ones most likely to complement a specific dish. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. The tables are fairly far apart, so you are unlikely to be disturbed by conversations around you. Prices range from 120 - 200 kr. All major credit cards are accepted.
Pasta Basta
This cheerful and down-to-earth restaurant is located downtown, just off the Strøget. There are two styles of eating here: you can visit the all-you-can-eat pasta and salad bar, for a nice array of classic pasta dishes, pasta salads, and fresh green salads, or you can sit down and peruse the à la carte menu. Some specialties from the main menu include pasta with prawns, spinach and chili peppers, smoked salmon with pasta and cream sauce, and scallops with spinach and herbs. Pasta Basta is open far into the night, very rare for regular restaurants. Prices range from 80 - 150 kr. Credit cards are accepted.
