Boghallen
This is a large bookstore located on one of the city’s main squares. It offers many books in English and some in French and German. They cater to tourists and carry a good deal of travel books, as well as maps. You can find the famous Danish classics, such as the collected works of Hans Christian Andersen, available here in English, and there is a good selection of both fiction and non-fiction.
Opening times: Mon - Fri 9 am - 7 pm, Sat 9 am - 4 pm
Kaabers Antikvariat
A specialty bookstore, Kaabers Antikvariat also carries old prints and maps. The store is decorated with some interesting antiques, and you can find some great old and rare books nestled in its many nooks. There is a good selection of literature, poetry, history and philosophy books, as well as several other genres. Not all books are in Danish.

Bogladen ved Søerne
The name of this store means “Bookshop by the Lakes,” and is located on the famous Østerbrogade, a main thoroughfare of Copenhagen. They carry a very nice selection of books on many topics, and both fiction and non-fiction are well-represented. The vast majority of books are in Danish, but there is a foreign language section, as well as some tourist and travel related books.
