Illum
Located on Strøget, a street famous for its posh shops, Illum is one of Denmark’s best departments stores. It carries a vast array of items, and specializes in clothes, cosmetics, and household goods. There are some great examples of Danish and Scandanavian furniture and other home items, as well as a wonderful selection of fashion for men and women. At the very top of the store is a nice, airy restaurant under a glass roof.

Magasin du Nord
This is the largest department store in Scandanavia, located across from the Royal Theatre. The Magasin has a grand, decorative façade, and the interior is equally elegant. The store includes six floors and offers a wide selection of clothes, glass and porcelein items, toys, souvenirs and food.
Louisiana Shop
A famous and hip department store, the Louisiana Shop is located nearby to Copenhagen in the town of Humlebæk. It is most well-known for its assortment of books, particularly art books, posters and postcards, and is a great place to find quality souvenirs. It also features some distinctive kitchenware, gardening tools, and “designer bicycles.”
