Irish Film Centre
This film centre is dedicated to art films and has become a hip hang-out for students and those who are serious about cinema. The films here are often off-beat and experiemental, but always artistic and high-quality. In addition to its two cinemas, the centre includes the Irish Film Archive, a library, a bookshop and a café/bar.
Opening times: Daily 10 am - 11 pm (and box office open daily 1.30 pm - 9 pm)
Screen
This centrally-located cinema is one of the most popular in Dublin, and focuses on the usual variety of major international releases, and blockbuster films. It has three different viewing rooms, none of which are very large, but they all have a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. It is possible to book your ticket in advance by phone or online at the link below.
Savoy
This is the oldest cinema in Dublin that is still in business, and is located right in the centre of town. The screen at the Savoy is the biggest in Ireland, and the theatre has a very advanced sound and projection system. Films are shown every day at 8 pm, and to find out about additional showings you can visit the Savoy website.
UGC Multiplex
The usual kind of big, luxe cinema complex, the UGC features several viewing rooms, with many films to choose from, and has a large concession/café area. You will find all the major international releases here, some classics, as well as some lesser-known and more artsy films. There is also always a good selection of children’s films.
