National Concert Hall
Dublin’s main classical venue, the National Concert Hall seats 1,200 and is home to both the National Symphony Orchestra and the Concert Orchestra. Throughout the year it features a wide range of international orchestras, operas, and other artists. And it is not only classical music that is performed here. They often also feature Broadway musicals and jazz in most seasons’ programmes. Tickets generally range in price from € 10 - 35, and all lunchtime concerts are € 5.

Olympia Theatre
This theatre is one of the most event-packed venues in the city, and features a broad range of performances, such as chamber music, orchestras, choirs, jazz and pop groups, as well as musicals and some plays. The theatre is open very late, and often features both evening and post-midnight gigs in the same day.

Cultúrlann na Éireann
A venue dedicated to traditional Irish music, this is the home of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Éireann, a cultural organization that supports traditional Irish art forms. Events here range from regular concerts to casual music making sessions, and there are weekly céilí dances every Friday from 9 pm - midnight. From June to September there are more elaborate staged shows including music, dance and song. These usually take place Mon - Thurs from 9 pm - 10.30 pm. Tickets for céilís are usually around € 7, informal music is € 2, and full stage shows are usually € 15.

The Point Depot
A lively and popular theatre, The Point is one of the largest indoor concert venues in Dublin, and seats 3,000. The programs here are varied and include classical music, major pop bands, ballet, and top notch musicals. Many Riverdance shows have taken place here for packed houses, and well-known stars who have performed here recently include Justin Timberlake and Tom Jones. Tickets range from € 13 - 65.

Gaity
A charming, smaller theatre, Gaity is used for musical performances, plays, and occasionally dance. The shows are varied, often featuring opera, Broadway-style musicals, or traditional Irish plays. The operas are usually smaller-scale, and are likely to be early music or contemporary productions. Tickets at Gaity generally range from € 21- 25, and are € 15 for previews.

Jurys Irish Cabaret
This is the venue of Ireland’s longest running show, which has been going strong for thirty years. It is a compilation of traditional Irish music, world music, and dance. Each show includes some lively and inspiring instrumental music, traditional ballads, Broadway songs, ballet, set dancing, and humourous monologues. Audience participation is also encouraged. Dinner is optional and served at 7.15 pm, and the show begins at 8 pm. Tickets are around € 50.
