One of the very best restaurants in the city, L’Ecrivain features French haute cuisine made from supurbly fresh local ingredients. The restaurant is stylish, but laid-back and unpretentious. The menus change frequently, but some recommended dishes that may be on it include seared wild Irish venison loin with caramelized pear, and seared Bere Island scallops with lobster strudel. There is a fixed-price 2-course lunch menu for € 35 and a 3-course lunch for € 45. Dinner main courses average around € 45, but can be more. All major credit cards are accepted.

This restaurant has the warm, down-to-earth quality of a French country house, and the food matches the ambience, with a variety of flavourful, yet simple dishes from Provence. Les Frères Jacques
A sophisticated French restaurant catering to a trendy crowd, Les Frères Jacques is located on the edge of the Temple Bar district and is very popular with business people on their lunch breaks.
