Claire Garvey
Clare Garvey is a well-known and established designer in Dublin, who has been providing the chic and well-dressed women of the city with her distinctive designs for many years. Her clothing line features romantic, feminine, well-tailored garments that depart from being too traditional by the addition of some dramatic and funky elements. One of Garvey’s specialties is hand-dyed velvet and silk, which shows up in a wide range of garments, including dresses, blouses, skirts, and scarves. The shop is also known for its selection of unique bejewelled handbags, which have become quite a hot item in the Dublin fashion scene.

Design Centre
This shop brings together select items from all of Ireland’s best new designers, and is the ideal place to peruse a variety of different top-notch garments. There are clothes for men and women, in a wide variety of styles. Contemporary designers whose work is regularly stocked include Louise Kennedy, Mary Gregory, Karen Millen, Mary Grant, and Sharon Hoey. Prices are very high, but there are some excellent bargains if you come during the sale seasons.

Lara
Run by fashion expert Lara Casey, this shop sells different women’s designer labels at fairly reasonable prices. Some of the popular lines featured here include Versace Sport, Italian Jeans Company, Fornarina, Roxy and Quicksilver. Many of the clothes are casual or sporty, yet distinctive and stylish. Unlike many designer stores, they carry garments for large women as well. There is a big selection of shoes at Lara, as well as some beautiful bags and handbags.

Nicky Wallace
This is Dublin’s top designer store for men, featuring the work of Nicky Wallace, one of Ireland’s most famous and successful designers. He has done work for many celebrities on commission, and designed the wardrobe for the Miami Vice series. His Dublin shop features suits that are known for their simple yet sophisticated style, and are finely tailored. There are also many shirts, trousers, coats, jackets, ties, and other accessories.
