Galleria Masini
This establishment is the oldest art gallery in Florence. Opened in 1870, the Masini is still a family business, and has quite a reputation for quality paintings. The gallery specializes in contemporary oils, and has a large selection of traditional Italian landscapes. The three artists whose work is featured here are Ubaldo Ballerini, Sandro Negri and Italo Petreni. The gallery ships artworks all over the world.
StarArte Gallery
This gallery opened in 2002 and is dedicated to promoting talented up-and-coming artists from abroad. Most of the works featured here are done in a variety of contemporary styles, yet produced through traditional techniques. A number of shows are held here throughout the yeat, and StarArte Gallery also organizes exhibitions in other lcocations in Italy, both public and private. The artists who exhibit here are Shuhei Matsuyama, Andrew Lyght, Nathan Brujis, Jean Miotte, Domizio Mori and Francesco Stefanini. All of these artists primarily create paintings.

Museo Horne
This little gallery/museum displays a collection of works by the artist Herbert P. Horne (1864-1916). The museum is located in the 15th century palazzo where he he used to live, and everything has been kept more or less the same since he died. In addition to his paintings, Horne’s furniture and other household items are on display. There are also paintings by other artists, namely a collection of 15th and 16th century oils and works by some local Florentine artists.
