Filmforum Höchst
The Filmforum Höchst already exists since 1975 and deals with topics of different countries critically. Most of the time the shown movies are films of one director, from one country or they all handle a certain topic. The numerous thematic blocks range from sophisticated but commercial movies to unknown productions from various countries. Every week the Filmforum shows films for children and from time to time they organise popular festivals dealing with many countries and cultures.

Filmtheater Valentin
The Filmtheater Valentin presents a rather unusual programme – an interesting mixture of Hollywood movies and independent productions, German trash and French author movies which give Frankfurt’s cinematic world a specific touch. Although it competes with the big multiplex cinemas, the individual concept of the movie theatre proved of value already for 12 years.

Mal seh’n
This individual and cosy cinema is one of the most traditional movie centres of Frankfurt. Founded in 1984 the cinema consists of 80 seats and is equipped with the most modern electronics. They show contemporary productions offside the mainstream, for example European author movies, American independent productions, documentaries and reproductions of classics. Most of the movies are shown in original versions with German subtitles.
The included café “Café Filmriss”, which exhibits old movie posters, is perfect for a nice chat before and after the film.
