Frankfurt am Main has two airports. One of them is the “Frankfurt International Airport”, which is Europe’s biggest cargo airport and its second biggest passenger airport. The second one, “Frankfurt-Hahn” is an attractive Low-Cost airport.

“Frankfurt International Airport” lies 10 km South West of the city and can easily be approached by S-Bahn. Due to its size it is the most important communication junctions after Heathrow Airport in London. More than 110 airline companies fly to over 330 national and international destinations. The airport disposes of different facilities including ATMs, hotel reservation and travel information desks, post offices, luggage storage, duty free shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, as well as telephone and fax machines. The major car rental agencies have counter’s over there.

“Frankfurt-Hahn” is a convenient and attractive airport in Germany from which planes depart to many European destinations. There are daily shuttle busses going from the main train station in Frankfurt to the 120 km farther airport. The airport is also reachable by car by A60/A61/B50 and B327.

With 25 platforms and 5 halls, the main railway station in Frankfurt is one of the biggest head stations and an important transportation junction in Germany. More than 1100 trains pass the station daily, so a fast and regular connection to destinations inside Germany and Europe is guaranteed.

by car
Frankfurt am Main is surrounded by a well established ring of highways and is therefore easy to reach from all destinations. From highway A5 (from north, south and east) and highway A3 (from west and south east) the inner city of Frankfurt can be reached fast and without problems. The motorway junctions make it possible to drive around the city. From the numerous slip roads lead into the single parts of Frankfurt.

This kind of travelling is a cheap way to get to Frankfurt. Some provider offer international connections such as the Deutsche Touring GmbH (www.deutsche-touring.de) and Berlinien Bus (www.berlinienbus.de).
