There is only one main musuem and one concert hall in Huelva, but there are still a variety of cultural events to choose from. Huelva’s provincial musuem, the Museo de Huelva, is an important one and focuses on archaeology, history and art. The Gran Teatro is the main venue for music and theatre, and there are always several different concerts and plays going on in any given month. Films are also shown in the Gran Teatro, though Huelva has a few other cinemas as well. The city also has a flourishing flamenco music scene, flamenco being the most popular traditional music of the region. It can be heard in a variety of venues and is often played live in bars and cafés.
