Poland is known for its good beers and vodkas, and Krakow has a wide variety of nice bars as well as plenty of cozy cafés. The centre is absolutely full of cafés and bars, and half the time when you see a nice establishment at street level, there is another in the basement and maybe a club upstairs as well. In fact, Krakow’s old town has more bars per square metre than anywhere else in the world! So if you are interested in exploring many different kinds of drinking hangouts, this is the perfect city to do so. There are classic Polish bars, chic cocktail bars, Irish pubs, wine bars, and much more. And there is a delightful array of cafés as well, many of which serve excellent and reasonably-priced food. Polish cafés are known for their chocolaty delicacies, such as thick hot chocolate and chocolate cake, as well as good coffee and many other drinks.
