ARS
This is an unusual location for a cinema, spread between two old adjoining mansions near to the market square. It has an elegant and posh atmosphere, with one of the screening rooms located in what used to be an opulent ballroom. There are five viewing rooms in all, featuring a variety of movies, from Hollywood blockbusters to Polish art films.
Mikro
This is a classic, down-to-earth arthouse cinema that borders on being a dive. Dedicated primarily to experimental and world cinema, it is one of the best places in the city for films that are off the beaten track. Each film is well-chosen for its artistic value, and is bound to move you and make you think. Mikro is particularly popular with students and has a very friendly atmosphere. There is also a café where you can have a cup of coffee or a beer before or after the show.

Kino Pod Baranami
This arthouse cinema has a special location within one of Krakow’s historic palaces, and is situated right on the main square. The cinema itself is rather rundown, however, and has become something of a cult, alternative venue. This is a great place to come for unusual and experimental films from Poland and all over the world.
MultiKino
This is one of the largest cinemas in the city, located on the outskirts near to the Park Wodny waterpark. It’s a big complex with many big screens, plush chairs, and all the latest sound technology. The films shown are mainly the latest blockbusters, and there are always some major children’s films on offer as well.
