Krakow has a rich nightlife scene full of party-animals, and there is a plethora of bars and clubs to choose from, as well as plenty going on by way of entertainment. It is an ideal city for bar-hopping, as the city centre has more pubs and bars per square metre than anywhere else in the world. The city is known for its good beers and vodkas, and if you know where to go, you can find excellent wine and cocktails as well. The Polish often hole themselves up in one bar for the night, but Krakow is the perfect city in which to take in lots of different kinds of drinking establishments during your trip. Many bars feature live music in the evenings, usually jazz, pop, or folk.
There is also no shortage of clubs in the city, with enough variety to cater to all tastes. The majority of clubs are lively student hang-outs with the usual house, techno and hip-hop tracks to dance to. But there is much more to the Krakow club scene, with establishments featuring quality live music performances, alternative clubs shunning popular dance tunes, and classy, exclusive clubs for the rich and beautiful. You can find somewhere to party every night in Krakow, though of course more clubs are open on the weekends.
