Philharmonic Hall
This is the home of Krakow’s Philharmonic Orchestra, the first orchestra of its kind in Poland. The hall is a grand, neo-baroque building that was originally a Catholic assembly hall. It has been a music venue since 1945, however, and is now one of the premier locations in Poland for classical concerts. There is lots going on here throughout the year, and the programme features many stars from abroad as well as a wide variety of local talent.

The Florianka Hall
This is an impressively lavish historical building located right in the centre of the old town. It has been home to the Krakow Music Academy for more than fifty years, and hosts many concerts and festivals each year. The hall has several rooms inside, making it suitable for everything from small chamber groups to larger ensembles.

Slowacki Theatre
This theatre has been around since 1893, and was odeled after Charles Garnier’s famous opera house in Paris. It is the main opera venue in Krakow, and is often used for a variety of theatre productions. The building is beautiful and architecturally impressive, and it is a real treat to enjoy a performance here. Tickets are also very reasonably priced.

Auditorium Maximum
A large concert venue in the centre of town, this is the main auditorium of Krakow university. It is used for many purposes, including a very wide range of music events. Concerts here include small chamber groups, choirs, jazz bands, contemporary music, and more. Performers are sometimes students, but many professional groups from all over Europe play here as well.
Harris Piano Jazz Bar
This bar is one of the best places to hear jazz in Krakow and attracts a large number of regulars. It is a cozy and relaxed atmosphere in which to hear the top jazz groups of Poland perform, as well as exciting up-and-coming groups and some well-known international names. The styles you’ll generally hear here include classic jazz, blues and big band. Tuesdays are dedicated to classic jazz, while Saturday is big band night.
