Shopping

Krakow is a city full of charming shops with local character, as well as many international chain stores. Whether you’re interested in browsing for the unique items that the city has to offer, or are looking for a specific item you’re used to from home, there are diverse shops to suit your every need and desire. Krakow is a city with a quickly-growing shopping scene, and new stores are opening very often. One good place to start exploring shops is the main square, Rynek Glowny, where many stores are clustered and the famous Cloth Hall is located, with stalls within selling many typical Polish goods, jewellery, crafts, and more. Other popular shopping districts include ul. Florianska, full of clothing stores, and Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter, full of classy and funky boutiques and jewellery stores. The items that Krakow is particularly known for include amber jewellery, antiques, and handmade crafts. In general, you can assume shops will be open Mon - Fri from 10 am - 7 pm and Sat from 10 am - 3 pm.
