Fundacao Calouste Gulbenkian
This cultural centre hosts annual concerts, international orchestras, chamber groups and soloists. It is very famous world wide for its high quality philharmonic orchestra, choir and ballet company. During summer many concerts take place at the outdoor amphitheatre.

Teatro Nacional Sao Carlos
This is Lisbon's opera house that was built in the 18th century after the original opera house was destroyed in the great earthquake. The building is beautiful with a rococo decor interior. Opera season begins at September and ends in June.
