baby
Baby is a new club at the Maximiliansplatz – a location that is exactly how others tried to be for years. Star-Dj Nikias Hofmann and partners opened this club and established quickly a good reputation in Munich’s clubbing scene. Since the location is quite small it is not always easy to get in. But the inside with back bar and pink lights, a hall with stuccoed ceiling, chandeliers and lounge compensate waiting times at the entrance. The music ranges from electro to house beats and the clientele is mature but stylish – an ideal combination of hip and posh night club.

089bar
Situated at the Maximilianplatz, which seems to be the party location par excellence, the 089bar is the perfect place to have a frolic night out. A central bar in the middle of the club and white walls with red artificial light remind of the old Milchbar at the Kunstpark. The audience’s age lies around 30 but is therefore not less jolly or flirt-friendly. The party usually goes on until early morning hours with beats from Sportfreunde Stiller Gang to White Stripes.

Crash
With its 40 years of age, Crash is the oldest nightclub in Munich. It has been and still is today a top address for hard rock. Especially the youth from Schwabingen has discovered the Crash, although underage people are only allowed until midnight. The atmosphere at Crash is phenomenal and it has definitely preserved its 70s character. The special wooden furniture is accompanied by portraits of legends such as Marilyn Monroe, James Dean und Jim Morrison but the real go for this club is the friendly staff.

Pacha
The Pacha is one of the many nightclubs at Maximiliansplatz. After a disappointing location outside the city the two owners decided to move to the heart of Munich’s nightlife and make their club more exclusive. The result was a smaller establishment opposite the MaxSuite with a fancy but familiar interior. Organic forms, wood, brownish tones and gold highlights create a homey atmosphere. A well arranged dance floor, a well sorted bar and a sandwich bar as well as cosy lounges make Pacha a location that can easily compete with the reputable and fancy P1. A nice feature is the summer terrace where you can chill out until the early morning hours.

Atomic Café
The late 60s are back! Atomic Café is a club that is totally 60s with many specials and numerous details in the interior. Already for years it swims against the mainstream of fancy and high society locations in Munich’s clubbing scene. And it has been successful. A faithful group of fans has established throughout the years. Almost every day people enjoy the beats of the 60s and 70s and sometimes even some life sounds. The weekend is quite crowded and the bouncers don’t let everybody in.

Rote Sonne
This club lies directly next to the mighty Pacha at Maximiliansplatz. But in comparison it has a completely different atmosphere, more underground. The flair in the Rote Sonne is very sympathetic and comfortable, although there is not much more than one big room with simple interior and lounges in the dark corners. The lighting reminds of the 70s but nevertheless presents a nice contrast to the dark arches underground. The audience is kind, and open just like the staff. The music ranges from house to alternative which makes this club a cool electro club for all kinds of party goers.

P1 – München
P1 is the club of the clubs par excellence, a meeting point for the rich and beautiful which mirrors in the architectural style of the building as well as in the fancy interior. A big bar in the foyer, a amazing light concept, beautiful people and nice staff create a stylish but also comfortable atmosphere. The motto over here is „see and being seen“. The whole club is a catwalk for Munich’s elite party scene. The entrance to the P1 is free but drinks, however, have exorbitant prices. A huge summer terrace is actually the best thing about the whole club. A mixture of beer garden and catwalk it is the perfect place for the fancy clientele.

Max Suite
The former Maximilian’s has been heavily redecorated and conformed to the present clubbing level. The white lounges are filled with young people that are not really feeling welcome in P1. The club has been a drinking paradise and it is still today, although the champagne was replaced by Wodka-Bull. The music ranges from house to R’n’B which covers the musical taste of a wide mass. Although you can have big fancy parties don’t expect too much regarding diversity of music and guests.

Die Milchbar
It is not milk that is served over here but internationally know djs. The music covers mainly house and the usual clubbing hits. At the weekend the location is packed with people and it is difficult to get in. Nevertheless, the success of some years ago has faded away a bit; sensations are not to be expected anymore. But still, the Milchbar is a great place for a night out and having some fun. And for sure you will not go home!

natraj temple
The natraj temple is nothing for friends of noble ambience and the usual clubbing sounds but more for people who like electronic music because that is what is played over here: goa, trance and psychedelic sounds. The club is not a mass product. With its cave-like inside with sculptures and artistic pieces, spider webs, Indian gods and a dragon over the dance floor the natraj temple is definitely a location you have to get used to. There is a gallery on the first floor where soft pillows can be used for chilling out. A bar serves exotic drinks, spices and snacks. A club not for everyone but the crazy interior is defiantly worth seeing.
