Bavarian National Opera
The Bavarian National Opera belongs to one of the best opera houses in the world and has a long and rich history. Together with the Bavarian National Ballet it offers a programme of nearly 350 operas and ballet performances per year which takes pace in the National Theatre at the Max-Joseph-Platz, at the Prinzregententheater or at the old Cuvilliés-Theater. The National Opera also hosts the Bavarian National Orchestra.
Jazzclub Unterfahrt
This jazz club is an excellent address for all jazz fans. It exists already since 1978 and is located in a former brewery in Haidhausen. The programme changes daily and always presents a special musical delight.

Sun – Thurs 7.30 pm – 1 am, Fr and Sat 7.30 pm – 3 am
Night Club Bar
The Night Club Bar is located in the Bayrischer Hof and presents Jazz, Soul, Blues and Latin in an exquisite brick house atmosphere. The programme is very varied and includes many live acts.
Jazzbar Vogler
This jazz bar already exists since 1997 and is THE address for "Blues-Jazz-Latin-Jam-Session" which takes place every Monday. All other days concentrate on piano music and at the weekend many different bands entertain with jazz, soul, funk and Latin.
Mister B''s
Mister B’s is the smallest jazz club in Munich but it doesn’t rank behind the big ones in any way. Local and international tunes of the jazz world can be experienced live. This is jazz in its original way, connecting musicians and audience directly in the performance.
Muffathalle
The Muffathalle is a former cogeneration plant which is located in an art nouveau building. The programme includes many different genres and concentrates on the multi-cultural, future-oriented and urban present culture. With many musical highlights like Kruder&Dorfmeister, Morcheba, Lighthouse Family, Sonic Youth, Buena Vista Social Club, Carlos Santana or jazz musicians like Hancock, Michael Riessler, Branford Marsalis or Maceo Parker the Muffathalle could establish itself as a hot venue in Munich’s musical scene and even gained attention in other European countries.
