Brasserie Chez Philippe
Located in Giesing, this French brasserie owned by Philippe Lelodey serves great French delicacies. Elegant place settings with loads of flowers and the friendly service make this restaurant a perfect address for a dinner in an upscale environment. Besides the excellent French food the menu includes a great selection of French wines. During summer time guests can enjoy their meals in the restaurant’s garden.

Crêperie Bernard & Bernard
Bernard & Bernard is a classical crêpe bar which does not only serve sweet crêpes but also savory ones and that for over 20 years. About 45 different variations are possible which cost between 2,60 € and 8,70 €. Sometimes there is a jazz session which makes the atmosphere very special. But even if you don’t get a place in this quite small location you can take the crêpes home and feast over there. And all those who don’t fancy a crêpe can choose for one of the salads or meat dishes.

Dukatz
Dukatz is a cafe / restaurant that is located in the vault of Munich’s literature house. The elegantly modern but chilly location is a meeting point for many people of Munich’ intellectual scene. Important is the way you look and what you wear otherwise it can happen that you won’t be served. The inside is divided into areas for restaurant and café. The restaurant area serves mainly French and Mediterranean cuisine while the menu of the café includes many drinks, snacks, cakes and salads.

Jean de St. Malo
Jean de St. Malo is an excellent restaurant bringing a bit of Brittany to Munich. The cuisine is solid but also creative including mainly fish, herbs and seasonal ingredients. But also delicious French cheeses are on the menu as well as great French wines. The restaurant is quite small therefore it is recommendable to make a reservation. But Jean de St. Malo is a place where you want to go back even though the prices are higher than average but the quality of the food and the daily changing menus are definitely worth it.

La Bouche
A small French restaurant with a rendezvous suitable ambience thanks to the Baroque elegance at the back of the place. Although located in a former butchery, it spreads French life style and warm French charm. The cuisine is creative but a bit more international and not exclusively French. There is a tasty lunch menu for 5- 8 €. The evening menu is more expensive but also more exclusive. The selection of wines is very nice and tops off the dinner.

La Bouille
La Bouille is a recommendable French restaurant with excellent Provençal cuisine and a stunning terrace for the summer months. The constellation of the menu is well done and the selection of the wines superb. Especially the fish dishes are excellent. The prices are quite high but fair enough for the great food and the big portions. The service is very charming and attentive. A very nice place to spend the evening.

Le Bousquérey
This small French restaurant convinces with delicious dishes and a friendly atmosphere. The taste of the food brings France to Munich and the service brings the charm of French people to life. The staff is trilingual and friendly. The waiting time is a bit long sometimes but the food and the excellent wines compensate.

Le Faubourg
A bit hidden at the Johannisplatz is this gorgeous French restaurant. The ambience and the taste are exquisite – French cuisine at its best. The prices, however, are quite high and the portions small, therefore Le Faubourg is not recommendable for everybody’s purse. The clientele is young and trendy and the staff friendly and attentive.

Saint Laurent
French gourmet restaurant in Haidhausen! Saint Laurent is one of the best restaurants in Munich serving international and French specialities as well as excellent wines. About 30 seats welcome the guest in a dark shimmering wooden interior. The restaurant is expensive but the good food, the friendly service and the nice ambience are worth it.
