Yum
Yum combines modern design, friendly service and an excellent Thai cuisine. You can find under yum in the menu a Thai salad with fried things and aromatic sauces but actually yum means “mixed” what perfectly matches with the ambience of the restaurant. Soft, warm light, dark walls and Buddha figures create a cosy atmosphere where guests can have their cocktails until late night hours. As Yum is a very popular location it is recommendable to book ahead.
Yee Chino
Yee Chino is a nice Chinese / Thai restaurant with a rich variety of spits and teas. And especially tea is what this restaurant is famous for. Many people from the surrounding offices come here every day for lunch. In the evening many Chinese and Thai dishes are served. A Chinese menu is provided written with Chinese signs. Included are many original dishes from China prepared with many fresh ingredients. Owner Xiaoliang Ye sets a lot of value on creativity and love for the details in cooking.
The tea culture in Yee Chino manifests in over 20 different valuable sorts of tea which are imported from china. Yee Chino is therefore the only original tea bar in Munich.

Rattana Buri is an excellent Thai restaurant which offers many culinary surprises to its customers. The Thai couple who owns the restaurant presents a lot of hospitality and passion. This is mirrored in the ambience and the tasty food creations. The menu includes mainly Sushi and Thai dishes and the guest is spoiled with a cup of lovely green tea. The quality of the food and the perfection that is shown in this restaurant is something unique in Munich.
Khanittha
The menu of this Thai restaurant includes many specialities. The food can be quite hot, especially the curries. Red curries are barely edible for Europeans while the green ones are still hot but eatable without fear. But there are also many fish dishes, sea food or meals with duck. The soups which are prepared with fresh herbs such as coriander and lemon grass are very tasty. The price for a main dish lies around 12 Euro. Also the desserts are special and distinct from the rest of Munich’s Asia restaurants. Khanittha is a quite small place therefore it is recommendable to book ahead because especially at the weekend the restaurant fills up quite easily.
Opening times:
Mo – Sun 11 am – 2.30 pm and 6 pm – 11 pm
Chang Noi
Fantastically tasty dishes prepared with fresh herbs and spices make Chang Noi to one of the best Thai restaurants in Munich. Some of the food is extraordinary hot but on request dishes like Paeneng Ped (duck with red Thai curry) are served in a milder version. The great food can be accompanied with excellent wines and the background music concentrates on dinner jazz rather than Thai music. The restaurant is decorated with dark wood, red walls, flowers and many pillows which create a warm and cosy atmosphere.
