Naples is full of cafés and coffee shops and is known for having excellent Italian coffee and pastries. Piazza Bellini is a lively square in the center known for its many open air coffee shops as well as bars.
In recent years the nightlife of Naples has become much more lively and diverse. Young people from other cities will flock to Naples to visit some of the clubs and bars, and several new ones have opened in the last few years. The hippest scene centers around the cafés and bars on Pizza Bellini, Piazza Amedeo and Piazza San Domenico Maggiore. They usually become busy an hour or so before midnight. Disco bars have also become very popular and are found in many places, particularly in the center of Naples. Many of them have live music.
