Nice has more to offer than innumerable restaurants and a long pebbled beach. This southern French metropolis has the second highest number of art and culture establishments after Paris. There is no time when Nice sleeps; the city is animated night and day. Especially during summer there are many events as the Nice Jazz Festival in the arena, the gardens of Cimiez and the flower war on the Promenade. In February Nice hosts a great carnival whose degree of popularity is only surpassed by Rio and Venice. Creative masks, music and clowns join a fantastic parade.
