The Dôme Imax cinema at La Défense
One of the first IMAX screens in Europe, this 1144 m² ''hemispheric screen'' and amazing digital sound system make this theatre a memorable place to watch films. There is not only surround sound, but surround image too, with films are shot on special large format film, making the images strikingly realistic. This theatre opened recently and is an ideal place to watch movies, especially for people who are really interested in cinema. It not only shows films, but also includes a museum area with changing exhibitions relating to film and a video library. There are four separate cinemas inside, and a variety of films are shown, with emphasis on classics and art films as well as major recent releases.
