Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe
The former home of the famous group Comédie Française, this theatre is now dedicated to presenting plays from all over Europe. Plays are put on in a variety of languages, not just French. The theatre underwent an extensive renovation a few years ago and is now larger and better suited to the staging of contemporary productions.

Bouffes du Nord
This theatre is located in an old-fashioned building that is somewhat the worse for wear, but has an intimate atmosphere and is home to a delightful variety of artistic and experimental productions. The theatre is run by English director Peter Brook and most plays are done in either English or French.

Théâtre de la Renaissance
This theatre was made famous by Sarah Bernhardt, the French star of the late 19th and early 20th century. She was the manager from 1893-1899 and was the one to turn it into a a busy, prestigious theatre. Now big French and International starts continue to perform here and it is a theatre where you can always find interesting plays and superb productions.
