Café de la Danse
This is a rock concert venue, and despite the name, does not include a café. There is a bar, however, and a lively, cosy atmosphere. The groups that perfrom here are among the very best bands in France, and several well-known foreign groups can be heard as well. This is one place rock and pop fans should not miss.

L’Elysée Montmartre
This popular music venue is located in an old building previously used for theatre and boxing matches. A variety of groups perform here, from little-known cult bands to some of the top bands in Europe. This is one of the favourite places to hear popular music in Paris, and is especially popular with the young. Some special events that take place here regularly on the weekends include the Elysée-Montmartre ball and the Open House night which features techno music.

Duc des Lombards
This is one of Paris’s top jazz venues, attracting jazz fans from near and far. Some big names who have performed here recently include Paolo Fresu, Philippe Catherine and Steve Swallow. Three-set sessions are given each evening and usually feature a special guest artist, sometimes a surprise. The cost varies depending on who is playing.

MCM Café
This spacious club features performances by many new and up-and-coming bands, many of which are broadcast live. It is located in what used to be the famous Moulin Rouge nightclub, and there is a huge bar with great food and drinks. When no band is playing, DJs play a nice selection of music and music videos.
