Demoncy, La Pâtisserie de L'Église
Tucked in between the popular area of Belleville and the less well known streets around Télégraphe, is this unexpected quartier. The epicentre of this district is the Patisserie de L'Église. They have kept the old recipes alive for over a century, and this is one of the best places in Paris to sample fine pastries. It is a bit more expensive than the Middle Eastern shops in this area, but you pay for the extra special care taken over these delicacies.
