Rue Raspail
Rue Raspail on Sunday mornings is a lively, thriving market with very good quality food and lots of variety. Try some farmer''s thick crème fraiche or homemade butter, farmhouse cheeses, organic vegetables, carefully reared organic beef and lamb, pork or poultry. You can also buy ready-to-eat chickens stuffed with fresh herbs cooked in a spit oven in the market. Hot muffins are very popular, too . Apparently, Monsieur Lepic sells little terracotta pots of country patés but he sells out of his speciality boudin noir very quickly, so get there early.
