Prague State Opera House
The Prague State Opera was opened in 1888 as the German Theatre and is located in a neo-rococo building. After WWII the name was changed to Smetana Theatre before it finally became the Prague State Opera House. Most of the time the performances are from an Italian repertoire like Puccini, Rossini and Donizetti, occasionally they also include Russian, German and French pieces. The venue is extraordinary popular and advanced bookings are recommendable.
