Shopping in Prague is nowadays a real pleasure. International designer shape the picture of the Pariser Street. In the newly renovated Ungelt yard you can buy modern Czech art and in between the Old town ring road and the Kleinseitner ring road the world of glass, garnet and toys has its home. No matter if old or modern, here you can find nearly everything. Prague also possesses a number of light and glass shopping malls where a part of social live has been located already for centuries. Today the picture of the malls that mainly hosted cinemas and theatres is completed by Cafés and boutiques.
The long list of traditional Czech products starts with the Bohemian export good – the crystal glass. Another important branch is the leather industry, especially hats and gloves. Well-priced are also Czech CDs and books. The big bookstores offer a broad choice of illustrated books and Czech literature translated into different languages. Numerous antique stores invite for a stroll through time where you can find some precious things. Popular souvenirs are the Prague ham, the cordial from Karlsbad “Becherovka” and white wines from South Moravia.
