Public Transport
Rome has an extensive integrated public transportation system, which includes buses, metro, trams and a suburban train network. The metro is quite limited and only has two lines, but is the easiest and fastest way to get around and is convenient for several attractions. The bus service is cheap and reliable, although slow due to heavy traffic. Busses and trams are operated by ATAC, which cover the entire city and run daily from 5.30 am –12 am. After midnight, there are 22 night bus routes.
