Dewi Sri
Dewi Sri features some creative takes on traditional Indonesian dishes, and the menu is divided into Indonesian, Javanese, and Sumatran delicacies. They have some of the best rijsttafel in the city, which is a sumptuous feast for two people or more that lets you sample many different dishes. The staff is very friendly and polite, happy to answer any questions or make recommendations.
Sari Koering
A quiet, family-run restaurant, Sari Koering offers a nice selection of traditional Indonesian dishes, most of which are served with rice and some super delicious sauces. The portions are very generous and you probably won’t be able to finish everything on your plate. It is a child-friendly restaurant and also offers a children’s menu. Take-out is available.
Papaya
A popular restaurant for both eating in and take-out, Papaya has great food for very reasonable prices. There are many vegetarian options, and you have a choice of either noodles or rice with most dishes. One of their recommended specials is the Rames schotel, a noodle plate with different kinds of sauces and dishes on top. They have a nice terrace open in the summer.

Anugerah
A friendly and down-to-earth restaurant, Anugerah serves high-quality dishes made with lots of fresh vegetables. There are many different kinds of meat dishes, as well as some vegetarian ones, some subtly seasoned and others quite spicy. One of the specialties is sate fresh from the grill. They also do take-out and delivery. No credit cards are accepted.
