The O-bus is one of the most important options within the public transportation system in Salzburg. Some routes, however, are supplied by the Albus bus lines. The bus network is astral which results in some missing interconnections but it is continuously expanded. All included common carriers belong to the same tariff system which makes it easy for the user.
Visitors of Salzburg can park their car on the Park-and-Ride locations outside the city (motorway exit „Salzburg Süd“ und „Messegelände”) and use the public transportation to the city centre.
Salzburg
S-Bahn
The most important public transportation in Salzburg is the S-Bahn, a kind of metro or fast train in the limits of the city and its surroundings. The line is continuously expanded. The S-Bahn belongs to the ÖBB, therefore the same prices apply to the S-Bahn lie to any other ÖBB carrier.

Taxi stands are mainly located at the central train station in Salzburg or in front of the airport terminals from where you can immediately reach the check-in points. The transfer from the airport to the central train station takes about 10 – 15 minutes. There are taxi companies offering rides for a fixed price.
